- As Commissioners Begin Inspection

The Member representing Ndokwa ethnic nationality on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC, Dr. Charles Olisa has assured residents in his mandate area of the Commission’s resolve to complete and initiate new projects.
Dr. Olisa gave the assurance, during an extensive inspection tour of the completed Police Station at Aboh in Ndokwa East Local Government Area and other projects sites.
Accompanied by the Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Victor Ikewun, Barr. Julius Ezimadu, and other officials, Dr. Olisa assured the people of Ndokwa Nation that DESOPADEC is committed to delivering meaningful projects.
Some of the completed and upcoming projects include: – Solar Street Lights: Completed at Ashaka, Aboh, and Agwetiti (Agweiyom), Ogbe Agidigbo Street Road: Phase 1 construction to commence soon at Aboh, Umuosimili; Ossissa Road: Resurfacing and rehabilitation, to commence soon at Ossissa.
Others are, Assembly Hall, to be constructed at Oduga Primary School, Ushie; School Renovations: Atokwu Primary School, Agwetiti, and Beneku Primary School, Umu Edem Beneku; Supply of Classrooms Furniture to schools in the mandate areas; Civic Centers to be constructed in various locations.
Added to this is Police Station: Ongoing work at Okpai, to be facilitated to completion; NYSC Corpers Lodge to be constructed at Akarai- Obodo and Teacher’s Quarters to be constructed at Okpai, as requested by Okpai Development Union.
In a related development, the member representing ltsekiri ethnic nationality on the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon. Sunny Ofe Toghanrose recently, embarked on an inspection tour of some projects in the ltsekiri mandate communities to ascertain their level of completion.
Hon. Ofe and his inspection team visited Ugbodede, a riverine community in Warri South West Local Government Area to inspect the on-going commuters Jetty.
In Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Ofe inspected the completed Ultra-Modern Ubeji Market; the 500m-long Aja-Etan Road under construction in Aja-Etan community and the on-going tiling and landscaping work at the Obodo Health Care Center.
He urged the contractor handling the project to expedite action in the provision of the necessary furniture for the health center to function effectively.
Also in Warri South Local Government Area, the team visited the on-going construction of Prince Andrew Edun Road in Ugbuwangue community and the on-going IYC (Itsekiri Youth Council) Secretariat, along Odion road.
Also, the member representing Isoko ethnic nationality on the Board of DESOPADEC, Chief Victor Okemena Egbo continued with projects inspection in his mandate area.
His team visited Oghara-Iyede in Isoko North, where projects are ongoing.
They include: renovation and fencing of Oghara-Iyede Civic Centre; Solar street lights from Oghara-Iyede to Ekiugbo-Iyede; Construction of Oghara-Iyede/Ekiugbo-Iyede link road and Construction of drainage system.
He assured the people of his mandate area that the road project linking Oghara-Iyede to Ekiugbo-Iyede will commence after the completion of the drainage project.
