2027: Oborevwori’’s Achievements Threaten Opposition —Oghenesivbe

The enviable performance and numerous achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in less than two years in office have continued to threaten the political survival of opposition leaders across Delta State.

The Director General of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Fred Oghenesivbe made the assertion yesterday during a radio interview, saying that those warming up to contest the governorship election in 2027 are merely chasing shadows.

The Orientation Bureau Chief noted that recent derogatory statements against the state governor by some leaders of the major opposition party in the state, the All Progressives Congress (APC), are nothing but weak and ineffective strategies that cannot overshadow the good governance strides of Governor Oborevwori.

He said that the N275 billion recently approved by the State Executive Council presided over by the governor, clearly revealed that Delta State is on the fast lane of socioeconomic and mega infrastructural development.

Oghenesivbe assured that Governor Oborevwori, who recently emerged as Nigeria’s “Governor of the Year” due to his visionary leadership, competence and prudent management of state resources, will continue to spring pleasant surprises.

He noted that some political gladiators are already suffocating politically ahead of 2027, because of the massive public support for Governor Oborevwori, adding that the recent defection from PDP by two federal lawmakers has sporadically upscaled the popularity rating of the state governor and the Party across the senatorial districts.

On the ongoing “Drug-Free Delta” campaign across the state, Oghenesivbe disclosed that Governor Oborevwori is doing the needful to ensure that the prospects of every youth are nurtured to fruition through the collaborative efforts of Parents, faith-based organisations and the state government.

He noted that the ongoing campaign against drug abuse and the use of Illicit drugs is making significant progress as secondary school students across the state resonate with “Yes to Life, No to Drug Abuse,” pointing out that the campaign is the first of its kind jointly embarked upon by the State government and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

“Those who recently defected from PDP for selfish personal political interests did so at their peril. PDP as a party cannot be moved by such political antics. We shall reclaim all PDP seats at the National Assembly come 2027. The signs are there for all to see.

“We are confident that any weapon fashioned against our governor shall hit brick walls because God is watching over him. Political media propaganda will have no negative effects on Governor Oborevwori.

“Governor Oborevwori is a divine project that is springing pleasant surprises regularly. Deltans love his swag and remarkable achievements. He’s the Talk-Na-Do Governor with Street Credibility.

“Under his leadership, N275 billion worth of projects were approved at the first state executive council meeting this year. This is another uncommon record that shall be very difficult to beat, and no well-meaning Deltan can afford to look the other way without commending him for this yet another giant stride” Oghenesivbe said.
