The newly appointed Executive Director of Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu has assured the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori of better electioneering results in the years ahead.
Chief Okorodudu gave this assurance when he was hosted by the Olomu-Effrurun-Otor Political Elite Forum in Oguname-Olomu, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.  In his speech, the new ED lamented the outcome of the past general elections in which Ughelli South Local Government performed below expectations, declaring that the situation would turn a new leaf in the next election season.
He reiterated his readiness to deploy all available political arsenal in the proportionate direction to enhance the delivery of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli South, stressing further, Chief Okorodudu called for synergy within the party and across all interest political groups, adding that he was poised to support them for the overall delivery.
Eulogizing the late Chief Taleb Tebite, his immediate predecessor at DESOPADEC, the Delta State PDP spokesperson asserted that he never bargained for the Executive Director’s position despite pressure from different directions persuading him to indicate his interest to succeed Tebite.
According to him, his nearness to and filial affinity with the late Taleb, whom he also described as a childhood friend and schoolmate, never allowed his conscience to succumb to such a quest but for the Governor, who used his own discretion to offer him the appointment.
Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the forum and Executive Assistant to the Governor, Olorogun Samuel Oghotomor expressed gratitude to the Governor for appointing one of theirs to replace the deceased one.
The peak of the reception ceremony was the passing of a vote of confidence on the Governor, just as they also reposed confidence in the capacity of the new Executive Director.
