The Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori will officially inaugurate the second edition of the Delta Social Media Summit, tomorrow, Thursday, August 22, 2024.
The event will take place at the Mariam Babangida Leisure Park in Asaba, Delta State under the theme “Harnessing the Power of Social Media.”
This year’s summit, which has drawn significant attention across the state, is set to be a pivotal moment for Delta’s digital and entrepreneurial communities.
The summit will bring together a diverse array of speakers and influencers, featuring the Governor as the Special Guest of Honour, along with notable personalities such as Real Warri Pikin, Mariam Oyakhilome, Lucky Udu, Chief Kestin Pondi, and many others.
Speaking on the upcoming event, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, Mr. Ossai Success, emphasized the summit’s potential impact.
“This year’s summit is not just an event; it’s an opportunity to reshape how we view and use social media in Delta State.
“We have an extraordinary lineup of speakers who will provide valuable insights on leveraging social media for economic growth and societal progress,” he said.
He further noted that the summit aims to address the underutilization of social media in Delta State, particularly among the youth and entrepreneurs.
“By focusing on practical strategies and success stories, the event will highlight how social media can be a powerful tool for economic development, innovation, and personal empowerment,” he added.
