Nigeria’s First Lady To Flag-Off Pet Project In Delta

Wife of the Nigerian President and First Lady of the country, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu will be flagging off her Petty Traders Empowerment Scheme for women through her pet project, ‘The Renew Hope Initiative’ in Asaba, the Delta State capital, tomorrow.

Mrs Tinubu is to be hosted by the wife of the state Governor and Founder, You Matter Charity Foundation, Dcns Tobore Oborevwori, alongside Delta women.

The Governor’s wife disclosed this when she met with women from the state’s 25 local government areas on Tuesday.

Addressing the women from the state’s 25 local government areas, Dcns Oborevwori congratulated the chairpersons, thanking God for the success of the recently concluded local government elections.

She also prayed for them for God to empower the local government chairmen to deliver on their mandates as promised during the campaigns and elections.

Deaconess Oborevwori said the meeting was called to intimate the women on the visit of the wife of the President Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu who would be flagging off her Petty Trader Empowerment Scheme, through her pet project, the Renew Hope Initiative in the State.

While commending Deltans for their peaceful disposition, the governor’s wife emphasized that Delta state was known for peace and hospitality and called on all to give the First Lady the needed support as she flags-off her pet project in the state.

In an interactive session, the governor’s wife and women, comprising wives of members of the state House of Assembly, female Commissioners, wives of Commissioners, chairmen of board, female Permanent Secretaries as well as female political appointees brainstormed on the coming event and how to ensure a successful outing.
