THE Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the governor on youth mobilization, Festus Uwamagbe has charged them to take their dreams, aspirations and talents seriously to unlock a brighter future.
Uwamagbe, who doubles as chairman of Ikando Host Communities Development Trust and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ika South, Branch B, Abavo, gave the charge during an interview with journalists.
While fielding questions on the International Youth Day celebration, the Governor’s aide said he was thrilled to celebrate the power, potential, and passion of young people around the world, noting that their energy, creativity, and idealism are what informed their generation for greater exploits.
“To the young people of our community, Ika South and Delta State at large, the state government sees you, hears you, and believes in you. Your dreams, aspirations, and talents are the keys to unlocking a brighter future”.
“As you mark this special day, we honour your resilience, adaptability, and determination. We acknowledge the challenges you face, from climate change to social injustice, and we pledge to support and empower you to overcome them.
“We celebrate your achievements, big and small, and we encourage you to keep pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and striving for excellence. Remember, you are the leaders, innovators, and change-makers of tomorrow. Your voice matters, your actions count, and your impact will be felt for generations to come”.
“So let us come together to uplift, inspire, and celebrate our young people. Let us create a world that is just, equitable, and inclusive for all”, he admonished.
While wishing them a resounding happy International Youth Day celebration, he enjoined all youth in Abavo Kingdom, Ika South, and the entire State to support the MORE agenda of the State Government for youth inclusion in governance, saying that Governor Oborevwori is a youth-friendly governor who is ready to listen, empower and create an enabling environment for the youths.
