THE Chairman of Asaba Community Vigilante, Ogbueshi Chukwuedo Nnamdi has called on residents of the area to be security conscious at all times and report any suspicious person or movement to the security agencies. He made the call in a chat with newsmen at his office in Asaba, recently.
While saying that the business of security was not meant for security agencies alone, he advised the people to give needed information to the security agents for prompt response and effective performance.
He said members of Asaba Community Vigilante will continue to perform their duties without fear or favour, and ensure proper protection of lives and properties in the area.
He lauded the state Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for the peace in Asaba, adding that the governor has the interest of the state at heart.
The vigilance boss appealed to philanthropists and well to do individuals in the area to give the needed support to the vigilance body to enable it function effectively.
He also urged residents to shun actions that are capable of breaching the peace in the area, saying that they should see peace as their watch word.
