The Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND), says the reign of Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse lll, has brought peace and development to the land and people of Itsekiri.
The President of MOSIEND, Dr. Kennedy Tonjo West said this as the Ogiame commemorated his 3rd anniversary as the Olu of Warri.
West, in a statement, described Ogiame as a visionary leader.
MOSIEND leader noted that the monarch had made significant impact in the lives of his people.
He said that the Itsekiri had never reached such magnificent miles in terms of human capital development, peace, progress and respect for the throne.
According to him, Ogiame has ruled with much wisdom, strength and courage, and has repositionedhis people to the extent that people of other ethnic nationalities are happy to identify with Itsekiris all of the world. He said more than ever before, there had been a robust peaceful coexistence among the Itsekiris and their brothers – one that will not be broken in a thousand years to come.
He lauded Ogiame for piloting the affairs of the throne with such charisma and power to the extent that more people now had high regards for traditional institutions – a culture which was almost lost and forgotten.
West prayed God to grant him more strength and wisdom, courage and good health to pilot the affairs of his people. (NAN)
