ANAMBRA State Chapter of the Ohaneze Ndigbo has sued for the re- election of the current Chairmen and Councillors in the 21 local government areas ahead of the September 28th Council election.
The body also commended the decision of the Inter Party Advisory Council IPAC to participate in the September 28th local government election in the state.
State Chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Emeka Udodeme emphasized the importance of re-electing the current Local Government Chairmen and Councillors at a stakeholders meeting in Onitsha South Local Government Area.
He stressed that their continuity is crucial for sustaining the developmental momentum in Anambra State, which has been achieved through the collaborative efforts of the local government teams under Governor Charles Soludo’s administration.
Udodeme highlighted the significant progress made, citing the numerous capital projects completed or ongoing, and argued that re-electing these Chairmen would ensure the continuation of these positive developments.
The chairman further released the opinion poll conducted by the Ohaneze Ndigbo in the state which ranked the Chairman of Onitsha South Local Government, Chief Emeka Joseph Orji as the best followed by Iyom Amaka Obi of Idemili South Local Government Area and Dr Chibueze Ofobuike the Chairman of Aguata Local Government Area.
