EXECUTIVE Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Development, Hon Taju Isichei has described the honour done to Party Faithful by the Oshimili South Ward 5 chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as well deserving.
Isichei made this known while speaking with our reporter in Asaba, the state capital.
He said it was in appreciation for their loyalty, meritorious service, selfless and dedicated service to the state and community.
According to him, the purposeful leadership, and contribution to development at the state and local government level cannot be underestimated, the reason why the Ward 5 leadership had found the beneficiaries worthy of the award.
Those honoured were; the state Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, immediate Past Governor of the state, Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP leader in Oshimili South, Chief Edwin Uzor, Oshimili South PDP Chairman, Mr. Chike Ifesiokwu, his predecessor, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, Oshimili South Local Government Council Chairman, Dr. Obi Kelvin Ezenyili, Ward 5 Chairman, Ogbueshi Adim Onochie, his Vice, Ogbueshi Chinedu Nwokolo, amongst others.
Speaking on the motive behind the Ward 5 gesture, Isichei said it was to appreciate good leaders in their lifetime, adding that it was to inspire the leaders and sustain electoral value in the state and Local Government.
