THE member representing Oshimili South Local Government Area in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Barr.) Bridget Anyafulu, has outlined her achievements to mark one year as a lawmaker.
Anyafulu listed the achievements when she paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Chairman of the Council.
The lawmaker said she has sponsored bills that were passed for the benefits of the poor in the state.
She also spoke about the need for the people in the Local Government to go into farming, adding that she and her team have been able to start something like watermelon farming, corn farming, cassava farming, etc. She also spoke on partnering with the local Government to serve the people of Oshimili South well by delivery democratic dividends.
She emphasized on education, charging the supervisory councilor for education in Oshimili South to ensure that he discharges his duties to the people.
She also spoke about the primary health centers, visiting all health centers in Oshimili South and providing them with the things they lack.
Speaking on the roads, she assured them of government intervention on the bad state of the Ogbeogonogo Market road.
Anyafulu congratulated the council chairman and his team for the successful election and inauguration.
Responding, the Chairman, Hon. Chief Ezenyili Kelvin Obi, said that the local government will give her 100 percent support in any collaboration she wants, as long as it is for the benefits of the Oshimili South indigenes and non-indigenes.
He said in proving to Deltans and Nigerians that the local government was not a tribalistic one, the council produced a Vice Chairman, Councillors and Supervisory Councillors who were non indigenes, adding that the leadership has ensured that everyone counts in Oshimili South.
The Chairman said the local Government will maintain the roads that need maintenance and the ones that need to be tarred, adding that Ogbeogonogo road would be rehabilitated in no time.
He said “the EKO Administration is here to do the right thing, that the promise given to the people during the campaigns will be fulfilled”.
The Chairman also thanked the lawmaker for her good representation and promised to work together with her to give the people of Oshimili South the best.
Present at the meeting were; the Oshimili South Chairman of People’s Democratic Party, Ogbueshi Chike Ifesiokwu, Vice Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Chinye Hobobo Uso, Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Chidimma Omoghene, Mr. Emeka Okonkwo, Mr. Benjamin Ogugua amongst others.
