The Vice Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government Area, Hon. Nneka Dibia, says that the present administration in the area is committed to women empowerment.
Hon Dibia who disclosed this to The Pointer in her office at Issele Uku said that the Chairman of the council, Hon. Emma Chinye has amazed the people through fulfillment of his campaign promises.
Dibia said that within two months they assumed office, the chairman has tremendously demonstrated to do more with new projects in the area.
She said that they have achieved reopening of banking operations in the headquarters, reduced insecurity threatening the people, introduced aggressive environmental sanitation, evacuation of waste in existing drainages around the metropolis.
Dibia confirmed that Hon. Chinye with his wife, Mrs. Matilda Chinye have empowered women in the council area and would empower more within a short period of time, adding that the first lady is doing all possible things to ensure that no woman is left behind.
