A 25-year-old lady reportedly died in a hotel located at Dumez road very close to Agbarha junction in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. It was learned that the deceased lady simply identified as Elo had told her parents that she was travelling to Warri and unfortunately, she ended up at a hotel in Ughelli.
A source who spoke to The Pointer said Elo told her parents that she was travelling to Warri to visit a relative on August 28, not knowing that she had arranged to meet with her boyfriend and they both lodged in a hotel in Ughelli, “only for us to get a call that she was dead’’.
When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bright Edafe, did not respond to Whatsapp messages sent to him, nor did he return calls to his phone.
But a security source who confirmed the incident said, ‘’a dead girl was discovered at a hotel in Ughelli North and with the information available, she lodged in the hotel with her boyfriend’’
“The lady, simply identified as Elo, 25, who hails from Ozoro in Isoko North had a party with her friends and got herself ‘high’ with a substance. She lodged in the hotel with her boyfriend who is suspected to be an Internet fraudster and on August 29, she was discovered to be unconscious. “The boy rushed her to Central Hospital, Ughelli and upon arrival, the doctor certified her dead and the suspected boyfriend was arrested alongside two friends”, the source revealed.
