Hardship: Otuaro Urges Faith, Trust In God

FORMER Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, has called for faith and trust in God during these challenging times.

Drawing from the scripture, Otuaro emphasised the importance of holding onto hope despite life’s difficulties, citing Hebrews 11:1, which reminds believers that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Otuaro called on people to anchor their hope in God, quoting Proverbs 3:5-6. He also referenced Psalm 46:1, encouraging people to see God as their refuge and strength in moments of trouble.

He said, “Beloved, in these challenging times, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and lose hope. Yet, the Word of God reminds us to hold fast to our faith, no matter the circumstances. In Hebrews 11:1, we are told, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” This is a powerful reminder that faith goes beyond what we see around us; it is the confident assurance that God is in control.

“As we navigate the storms of life, we must anchor our trust in God. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Even when things seem uncertain, God is working behind the scenes for our good.

“Let us be like the psalmist who declared in Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Remember that no matter how dark the night may seem; joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
