My Good Attributes Taken From My Mother —Okorodudu

THE Chairman of the Board of Delta State Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC), publishers of The Pointer Newspapers, Dr. (Olorogun) Ebenezer Okorodudu has attributed his positive qualities to the influence of his late mother, Deaconess Cicilia Eboh, whom he described as a pivotal figure in his life.

Okorodudu, who is also the National President of the Urhobo Peoples Integrity Organization (UPIO), made this known during an exclusive media chat with our correspondent at a reception marking the 24th memorial thanksgiving of his late mother, which took place recently at his residence in Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area. He emphasized the enduring legacy of his mother’s positive impact, vowing to always honor her memory. “I will always celebrate her because of the profound influence she had on my life. I miss her entirely for her motherly care and the values she instilled in me,” he shared, adding, “She also had a positive impact on my children.”

Okorodudu urged parents to be responsible and nurturing toward their children, noting that a legacy of love and care ensures that parents are fondly remembered. “Parents need to play their role with dedication, so their children will always cherish their memory,” he advised.

Earlier, alongside his nephew, the Ovie of the Ewu Urhobo Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, HRM Clement Ikolo, Okorodudu had held a memorial thanksgiving service for Deaconess Cicilia Eboh at the Garden of Gethsemane Ministry in Ughelli.  The service honored the memory of the woman who gave birth to the mother of the revered Ewu Urhobo monarch.
