Partner With Oborevwori, Agbolayah Charges PGs

PRESIDENTS-General of various communities in the three senatorial districts of Delta State have been called upon to partner Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the promotion of peace and development at the grassroots.

The call was made by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Development, Dr Toyin Agbolayah at a meeting with the State Executive of the Forum of Presidents of Communities in Delta State held in his office in Asaba.

Dr Agbolayah said Governor Oborevwori has high regard for traditional rulers and President Generals of Communities based on their influence at the grassroots and urged them to remain a formidate body in peace building in their various towns and villages.

While thanking them for the roles played in the election of the governor in 2023, he assured that their areas will enjoy more democracy dividends in terms of appointment and empowerment.

He called on them to take ownership of government projects in their communities pointing out that they will be consulted in the conceptualization of projects.

The Chairman of the Forum of President Generals of various communities in the State Prince Igwe Nzekwe who said the meeting was apt assured the Special Adviser of their support in bringing desired transformation to the grassroots.

Prince Nzekwe sad the group with membership from 7 ethnic nationalities in the State was ready to synergize with his office in advancing the administration”s MORE agenda.

Also Speaking, Chief Kenneth Iwhewhe congratulated Dr Toyin Agbolayah on his successful assumption of duty and urged him to carry everybody along in the scheme of things.

He appealed to him to create avenue for them to have audience with the governor whom he said has endeared himself to Deltans through his laudable policies and programmes. The meeting was attended by Hon Odogu Emakpor,Executive Assistant to the governor,Chief Roseline Uwubiti,Senior Special Assistant to the governor,Chief  Bernard Jagboro (SSA), Mr. Lucky Dikadi (SSA),Engr. Emmanuel Chukwuka Mormah,Esikabulu Isreal Onochie,Mr. Ebite Andrew and Mr. Kelvin Kemekebiye.
