The founder of School Ville, a tech-inclined firm, Mr Charles Omordia, has appealed to the Delta State Government for support in establishing support facilities for electric vehicles across the state.
He made the appeal during a facility tour in Asaba where he hosted the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr Odinigwe Odigie.
Omordia expressed his desire to expand the company’s capacity and contribute to the state’s growing technology sector. During the tour, Mr Omordia showcased the company’s latest innovation—a project to establish an electric car charging centre in Asaba. ‘’The initiative aims to provide a modern solution in the face of rising fuel costs, offering Deltans an alternative to petrol-powered vehicles’’
He said the firm with a team of innovative engineers, is said it is positioning itself to lead the charge in developing sustainable, tech-driven infrastructure within the state.
Omordia highlighted the significance of the electric car charging centre, saying that the facility would help reduce fuel consumption, offering a greener and more cost-effective option for vehicle owners in Delta. He noted that the centre would not only promote environmentally friendly practices but also boost the state’s technological capabilities. The tour of the proposed site for the charging centre revealed a large-scale project aimed at making Asaba a hub for sustainable technology. ‘’The centre will also feature an eatery, Tech Taste, where visitors can relax and enjoy meals or snacks while their vehicles charge.’’
According to Omordia, ‘’this concept integrates convenience and innovation, offering an enjoyable experience for electric car owners. The Commissioner commended the initiative and expressed his enthusiasm for the project’s potential to enhance Delta State’s technological landscape. He praised SchoolVille for its forward-thinking approach while asking the founder to express his appeal through the proper channels to explore ways to support the start-up in achieving its goals
