THE Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Epiphany Azinge has admonished the Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Area, Chief Dr. Obi Kelvin Ezenyili to embrace justice and fairness in the discharge of his duties.
The monarch gave the advice while playing host to the political class and the civil society groups during their visit to his palace.
He urged Ezenyili to be fair to all, allow justice reign in all that he does and always count on him, if there are issues to resolve.
He advised him, not to discriminate in any way as he would not encourage him to do so, adding that he would not lose his technical competence for anything.
He urged the Chairman to sustain his good deeds by delivering the dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.
While calling for more development in Oshimili South, the Monarch said his reign will be a happy and successful one, if only Ezenyili delivers good governance to the people.
He said with Ezenyili’s credentials he expects more from him as there is work to be done.
Speaking, the Council Chairman assured the Asagba of Asaba of delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Oshimili South.
He said his return to office as Chairman was to continue with his developmental strides, adding that the impact of his leadership will be felt in all communities across the Local Government.
Ezenyili described the emergence of the Asagba of Asaba as a boost to the State capital.
While congratulating the Monarch, he said he was pleased with his presence on the throne.
Earlier, the Oshimili South, Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Hon. Chukwunwike Ifesiokwu, said the visit by the political class and management of the council was to congratulate the Monarch on his emergence as the Asagba of Asaba.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a congratulatory letter to the Monarch.
The visit had the immediate past local government Chairman of PDP in Oshimili South, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, Leader of the Legislative Arm, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Chinye Hobobo- Uso, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Henry Enebeli, Hon. Michael Okonji; Party faithful, the Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Omoghene Chidimma, Councillors, Supervisory Councillors and Heads of Department in the Local Government Council.
