THE Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM (Dr) Emmanuel Sideso, has marked his first anniversary as chairman of Ukoko R’ Ivie Urhobo (Urhobo Traditional Rulers Council).
The traditional ruler, who hosted Urhobo traditional rulers at the epoch-making event, also invited distinguished chiefs and other important dignitaries in the Uvwie Kingdom to a red-carpet reception.
It was reliably gathered that one of the decisions taken by the traditional rulers in a closed-door meeting at the event was to pay a visit to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camp in Okuama, Ughelli South Local Government Area.
The council, it was gathered, also commended the Delta and Federal governments for resolving the age-long Aladja/Ogbe – Ijoh communal dispute.
The Uvwie monarch also rendered his stewardship under one year in office to the delight of his colleagues.
