It was a moment of joy for the parents of newly born sextuplets in Osubi, Delta State, Mr and Mrs Ojiepho Aidaghese as the wife of the state Governor, Dcns Tobore Oborevwori visited them, bearing several gifts.
The First Lady expressed her excitement and gratitude to God on behalf of the family for such a rare gift of multiple births.
Bearing in mind that the couple had to wait for nine years before welcoming the blessing of three boys and three girls at once, the Wife of the Governor said, “No one can number the miracle of God. He has a way of surprising us and rewarding us for our pains and delays”.
She admonished the family to hold on tightly to God and ensure that they bring up the children in the fear of God.
The First Lady presented cash gifts to the parents on behalf of the newborns, alongside tons of food items and baby essentials. The food items included five bags of rice, bags of beans, garri, tubers of yam, gallons of cooking oil, dried fish and crayfish. The gifts also included cartons of baby foods, diapers, clothes, wardrobes, hangers, wrappers for the nursing mother and so many other baby essentials.
She met with the six healthy babies, Faith, Deborah, David, Desire, Daniella and Daniel Ojiepho, prayed for them and expressed her good wishes for them. The mother of the one-month-old sextuplets, Mrs Faith Aidaghese expressed her gratitude to God for the miracle conception and birth. According to her, she had lost multiple pregnancies in the past but held on to God to come through for her, which He did after nine years.
Alongside her husband, they expressed their appreciation to the First Lady for identifying with them and sharing in their joy, affirming that the food items and gifts were beyond their expectations. In a related development, the wife of the Governor also went home to visit her co-wives, wives of the Oborevwori family and shared food items with them. In her words, “I cannot be in a privileged position and my people would not experience the benefits that come with it. “On September 12, the Wife of the President, Sen Oluremi Tinubu visited the state and distributed food items to indigent women in the state. “I also decided to allow the good gesture trickle down to my family and I assure you that going forward, the dividends of democracy would be enjoyed by every Deltan”, she said. The women expressed their gratitude and prayed for more wisdom on the First Family.
