RESIDENTS of Asaba, the Delta State capital have called on security agencies to check activities of criminals in the area.
The call followed the several armed robbery attacks in some axis of the city of Asaba, the Delta State.
During the week, some armed robbers attacked a compound located in Adaeze Farm road, around Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), axis of Asaba.
In an interview with one of the victims, Mr. Ayodele Samuel, who was still in shock over the incident, he said that he and his wife were awake all through the night until about 2am before they went to bed, adding that at about 3am, the armed robbers, who must have
find their way into the compound through the fence, broke into their house through the window and made away with some belongings such as their phones, laptop, money and ATM cards and also transferred some amount of money from his account via hacking.
He said he had been able to block his account to avoid further withdrawal and reported the matter to the police at Asaba B Division.
Other residents who spoke, said after robbing them successfully in an attempt to rob other neighbours’ there was alarm which forced them to flee from the compound
