MemberS of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oshimili South Local Government Area have joined the immediate past Party Chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji in thanking God for the gift of a new born baby added to his family.
The event took place at Christ Chosen Church of God Int’l Asaba.
Speaking during the dedication ceremony, the party Chairman, Ogbueshi Chike Ifesiokwu said it was good to celebrate with one of the party leaders in the local government on the occasion of his grandchild’s dedication.
Also speaking, Okonji thanked his guest for celebrating with his family, adding that the love that bonds them as a party will never cease.
The parent of baby Davina Okonji, Mr and Mrs Austin Okonji appreciated them for honouring their invitation.
The celebration was followed by a grand reception at the residence of Ogbueshi Dada Okonji.
The occasion was graced by friends, relatives and notable political big-wigs such as the state Vice Chairman of PDP, Elder Moses Iduh; Special Adviser to the Governor on Peace building and Conflict Resolution, Chief Edwin Uzor; the state Party Treasurer, Ogbueshi Chibuzor Uwajei; the House of Assembly member representing Oshimili South Constituency, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu; Executive Assistant to the Governor on Community Development, Hon. Tajudeen Isichei; Vice Chairman of Oshimili South Council, Hon. Mrs Chinye Uso; leader of the legislative arm of Oshimili South Council, Hon. Michael Okonji; Sir. Tobechukwu Okonkwo, serving Councillors and other notable politicians within and outside the local government.
