IN a remarkable display of political unity and purpose, the Ethiope East Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Hon. Chief Midwest Iboyitete, alongside a host of prominent political leaders, revered elders, and dedicated party members, warmly welcomed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who was represented by Senator Emmanuel Aguariawodo, the governor’s Senior Political Adviser, at the Ethiope East Council Hall.
The Chairman commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his outstanding contributions to the development of Ethiope East Local Government Area. He stated that the Governor is a leader for all Deltans, emphasizing the impact of the Governor’s MORE AGENDA, which has been felt across the State. “Governor Oborevwori has shown that he is indeed a grassroots leader, touching lives and bringing about positive transformation in our communities,” Iboyitete stated.
Chief Iboyitete articulated the council’s pressing desire for increased political appointments and further developmental initiatives during the meeting. “We are pleading for more political appointments and more development,” Iboyitete urged, highlighting the necessity for continued support from the Governor’s office to facilitate these aspirations.
The Director of Protocol to the Governor, Hon. Sunday Onoriode, echoed the sentiments expressed by Chief Iboyitete, citing the significant benefits that Ethiope East has reaped under the current administration. “We are fortunate to have a grassroots governor,” Onoriode affirmed, noting the positive transformations that have emerged from Oborevwori’s leadership.
The meeting also featured the Delta State Deputy Speaker, Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo, and the Ethiope East Local Government Chairman, Hon. Augustine Ogedegbe, both of whom expressed gratitude for the initiative behind the town hall gathering. They collectively passed a Vote of Confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, reaffirming the administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.
