A political pressure group, popularly known as Active Generation, has conducted a comprehensive voter sensitization campaign across three communities in Federal Ward 8 of Aniocha North Local Government Area.
The campaign, which started from Aniofu, Idumuje-Ugboko, and Idumuje-Unor communities aimed at fostering greater participation in all elections, from local government to federal level.
At Aniofu community, a large crowd gathered to engage with the Active Generation team as members shared vital information about the importance of voting and the impact of civic engagement on community development.
At Idumuje-Ugboko, the pressure group continued to educate residents on the electoral process and the significance of their votes.
Meanwhile, at Idumuje-Unor, the group discussed the significance of being active voters and the role of their voices in shaping their community and country.
According to their leader, Mr. Kidochukwu Mohanye, Active Generation is committed to continuing this vital work, with plans to extend their sensitization efforts across all ten federal wards in Aniocha North.
Mohanye said that the campaign aimed to ensure that every resident understands the power of their vote and the importance of participating in upcoming elections.
Mohanye, who is the founder, has been instrumental to the initiative, alongside Mrs. Chioma Egobudike, the General Secretary of Ward 8, and Mrs. Evi Chinye, the Treasurer, have played pivotal roles in organizing the sensitization.
Others who contributed immensely include Emmanuel Ugbo for Ogbeaku, Mrs. Kate Collins for Okwunye, and Mr. Friday Odum for Atuma, and Mr. Godwin Onweazu the Assistant Secretary of Ward 8, have all contributed to the campaign’s success.
The founder said that their collective efforts reflected a strong commitment to empowering the electorate.
