ON the occasion of Father’s Day, Rev. Father Godwin Orudje of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Ugborikoko, Effurun, in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, says Nigerians should reflect on the vital role fathers play in shaping families and society.
In his goodwill message on Sunday, Rev Fr Orudje emphasized the importance of fatherhood, highlighting the impact fathers have on their children’s lives. He encouraged fathers to embrace their responsibilities and strive to be positive role models for their families.
“Fathers are the pillars of their families, providing guidance, support, and love. They play a crucial role in shaping the lives of their children and contributing to the well-being of their communities,” Father Orudje said.
He also urged families to appreciate and celebrate their fathers, acknowledging their sacrifices and dedication. “Let us honor our fathers and father figures who have made a difference in our lives,” he said.
“By celebrating Father’s Day, Nigerians can acknowledge the vital role fathers play in building strong families and communities,” he added.
