THE leaders and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ethiope West Local Government Area Chapter have called on all party faithful to maintain peace and unity in order to deliver the party candidates in the upcoming local government elections.
The call was made during the inauguration of the Ethiope West PDP campaign council for the local government elections slated for July 13, 2024 at the residence of the party’s Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Christian Onogba, in Mosogar, Ethiope west local government area. Stakeholders at the inauguration ceremony agreed that the party must unite to win the election as the victory would provide direction while serving as a landmark for consolidation before the 2027 general elections.
The Chairman of PDP Leaders’ Forum in Ethiope West, Chief Ighoyota Amori, while inaugurating the committee, advised party faithful to remain united to ensure victory in the local government elections.
While pledging his support for the PDP chairmanship candidate, Chief John Nani, DESOPADEC Chairman, stated that the large crowd at the event demonstrated the party’s strength as no other party could gather such crowd or produce credible candidates in the state.
In his address, the party’s chairmanship candidate, Chief Onogba promised to deliver quality leadership if elected. He emphasized the need to maintain party unity as the best way to defeat the opposition.
The campaign council has Chief Solomon Obareki as chairman; Chief Henry Eghwubare as coordinator; Hon. Evidence Ighere as deputy coordinator; Chief Anthony Agboma, secretary; Chief Ighoyota Amori, member; Chief John Nani, member; Chief Emmanuel Ighomena, member; Chief Ben Igbakpa member; Hon Ejiro Etacherure, member, amongst others.
