IYC Calls For Rehabilitation Of Ohoro-Bomadi Road

OHORO-BOMADI

THE Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Western Zone has called for the immediate rehabilitation of the Ohoro-Bomadi road by the Delta State Government.

The call followed the inspection of the dilapidated road by the Zonal Executive Council led by Nicholas Igarama.

The body comprising of Ijaw youths in Delta, Edo, and Ondo States called on the attention of the Delta State Government to the dangers road users are faced with.

Describing the road as a death trap’, the youths beckoned on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to take measures towards restoring the road without delays.

Vice of the Zone Chairman, Ezonfade Otuskelly said, “This road links communities in Ughelli South, Patani and Bomadi Local Government Areas. It connects 10 clans that made up the IYC Western Zone and it is a dead trap. “We are appealing to our promising Governor to help fix it.

There are faithful taxpayers using this road. Yet, they are suffering. The government should come to the aid of the suffering people by rehabilitating this road.

“Also speaking, IYC National Treasurer, Peremoboere Amatoru lamented the state of the road and appealed for urgent attention.
