A Warri-based Islamic scholar, Shehu Aminu has urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice in line with the tenets of the Eid-El-Kabir festival.
He said this in a chat with our correspondent on the last day of the Muslim festival in Warri as he explained that sacrifice was the essence of the observance popularly known as Big Sallah among Muslims
Aminu posited that with sacrifice and patience, Nigeria would overcome its prevailing challenges, economic and otherwise. “Some great countries in the World went through what we are experiencing today,” he said.
The Islamic scholar however added that political leaders should not make the sacrifice unbearable for the masses.
Recall that Muslims, led by their Imams last Sunday offered special prayers at the Naval Base, Igbudu Primary School Sports Field.
