The Director of Programs and Communication at the Centre for Sustainable Development, Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Effurun, Delta State, Mr. Harrison Agboro has expressed his gratitude to the Faculty of Management Science at the University of Benin for his induction into its prestigious Hall of Fame.
Agboro, who spoke to The Pointer in a telephone interview, praised the faculty’s commitment to recognizing individuals who have positively impacted society. “This annual recognition honours alumni and other exceptional individuals whose contributions make a meaningful difference,” he noted.
Agboro also highlighted that this year’s honourees included prominent Nigerians such as the former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, and Nigeria’s current Minister of Youth, Engineer Ayodele Olawande Wisdom .
Reflecting on the honor, Agboro shared his deep sense of gratitude for being acknowledged alongside such esteemed figures in Nigerian leadership. He described the induction as a powerful reminder of the importance of ongoing efforts in environmental advocacy, particularly in tackling global challenges like conservation and sustainability.
Mr. Agboro extended his thanks to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin and the Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences for their dedication to celebrating leaders in sustainable development and societal progress.
He commended the Hall of Fame initiative as a meaningful platform that shines a spotlight on individuals who excel professionally while contributing to societal well-being.
“By honouring those who advance sustainable practices, the University of Benin showcases a shared vision for a better future. This year’s ceremony focused on the crucial work being done in environmental stewardship, research, and community leadership,” Agboro said.

He also noted that the recognition validates his global work in nature preservation, environmental sustainability, and natural resource management.
