THERE was wide jubilation as the Isoko South Local Government Chairman, Hon. Warri Friday assured workers of the payment of the recently approved minimum wage this November.
Ovoke made this declaration to staff of the local government during thanksgiving service which was held at the Chapel of Light in Oleh to commemorate his 100 days in office.
The Chairman, who was also presented with an Award of Excellence by Mrs. Ethel Eghaire (Esq) described him as a resolute leader who is dedicated to achieving outstanding results with strong determination and prayed that God should empower him more to further facilitate developmental accomplishments that are beneficial to Isoko South.
While receiving the award, the local government boss expressed gratitude to God and to the workforce for their unalloyed support in his first 100 days in office as he also enjoined them on continuous unity and collaboration to achieve forthcoming objectives.
The climax of the thanksgiving service was orchestrated by an unusual spiritual presence facilitated by ministration of songs by various gospel artists, Evang. Solo Kings, Evang George Eriega, Minister Fortune and Igor Oziwele.
The 100 days thanksgiving event was attended by notable guests within and in diaspora among whom are Hon. Theresa Oghale Ikrike, Hon. Friday Olokor, Hon. Osuofa Aziakpono, Mr. Victor Ekelega, Mrs. Iroro Ofrogbo, Hon. Emakpor Odogwu and others.
