FOLLOWING his commitment to bridging information gaps and fostering a stronger connection between the government and the people of Delta State, philanthropist, leader, and son of Akumazi Kingdom, NWACHINEMERE 1, Mr. Aniagwu Ehiedu Charles, was recently honored with an Award of Excellence in Public Communication by The Pointer Newspaper at thirty.
Mr. Aniagwu, Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads), received the award at the Pointer Newspaper event held in Asaba, with the theme: “Honoring Truth and Unity Through Excellence in Public Communication.”
Speaking with our Ika North East correspondent during the week, the former Board member of the Rural Development Agency (RDA), Comr. Mathias Isioma Chukwuekwu, stated that Aniagwu’s high standard for public communication makes critical information accessible, engaging, and impactful. He expressed that Aniagwu truly deserved the award.
Comr. Mathias affirmed that the Commissioner was honored due to his impactful communication strategies and dedication to transparent, truthful public service, noting that he has become a trusted voice in Delta State’s media landscape.
The former PDP Secretary in Ward 7, Akumazi, advised young journalists to take inspiration from Mr. Aniagwu Charles, highlighting qualities such as humility, hard work, persistence, dedication, and openness to correction as keys to success in the media profession.
Mr. Aniagwu has continued to make Akumazi, Ika North East, and Delta State proud, his constant guidance and assistance to the youths in Akumazi have inspired many to embrace entrepreneurship and contribute positively to their families and community.
