THE 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, famously said, “Victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan”. You can never truly understand what victory feels like unless you are part of the winning team. The joy of being a winner is endless.
A few days ago, there was a football match between The Pointer Newspaper staff and the Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) staff—a novelty match to celebrate Pointer Newspaper’s 30th anniversary. It was a tough game, but in the end, the Pointer Newspaper team triumphed with a 2-1 win. The moment was joyous for the entire Pointer staff, creating an unforgettable memory that inspired me to reflect on the significance of being part of a winning team.
