Governor Oborevwori, who was represented by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, noted that Christianity is all about unity and urged all Nigerians, especially Deltans to work together as a people for the success of the M.O.R.E Agenda of his administration.

According to him; “Christianity is all about unity, and as a people brought together into one country, we should also be united as Nigerians”

“We should avoid any form of discrimination, whether in politics, ethnicity or religion. We should live in peace with one another, work for a greater Delta State and work for the success of the MORE agenda of my administration”.

“If we are united and love one another, as our lord Jesus Christ admonishes us, we will shun evil of any kind”. Governor Oborevwori stated. Governor Oborevwori while congratulating Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor on his 37th anniversary of the ministry and 52 years of his service in the Lord’s vineyard, said; “I want to specially thank our father in the Lord, a humble man of God, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.

“In the book of Ezekiel 37, God spoke life into dry bones, bringing unity to God’s people. So I am confident that as the church celebrates your 52 year in the service of God, every challenge will get its solution”.

“Ezekiel 7, talked about unity, unity is very important in the body of Christ, Gal.3:28, said there is neither Jew nor gender, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus”.

“Brothers and Sisters, rejoice, fight for good restoration, encourage one another to be of one mind, live in peace and the God of love and peace will be with you”. “Jesus Christ sums it up all in the book of Matthew 18:19 saying, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they asked for, it will be done for them by my father in heaven”.

“Once again, I congratulate our dear pastor Ayo and the church on this occasion. We look forward to more years of this festival through our lord Jesus Christ.

“Everyone of us is aware, and a witness that in this 52 years of service of our father in the Lord, millions of souls, Nigerians and to those outside the country have been lifted, they have been removed from their sins and shown the path of salvation and all this we attribute to the hard working father that we have”. Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo in his good will message expressed gratitude to God for what he has done and will continue to do in the life of Papa Ayo.

President Obasanjo said; “we thank God for what he has done and will continue to do in your life. You have gone through the fortitude of life and it is amazing”. “One of your books, ‘Key To Manifesting Glory’. We are seeing the glory of God in you. We thank God for your life. You have been raised by God, it is not your glory, but the glory of God”.

“When you have the glory of God in you, by you, around you, there is no situation you will not overcome. You are an overcomer and will remain an overcomer. 52 years of service in the vine years of God, is no joke, It is worthy of emulation. You have everything to continue to thank God, God has lifted you and nobody can bring you down. You should not stop doing what you have been doing. Serving God and humanity”. Obasanjo stated.

Also former President, Goodluck Jonathan, in his goodwill message noted that “The person we are celebrating today is a great man who is totally devoted to the faith and the people of God”.

“When I was the President of Nigeria and he was the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), he was committed to solving some of the problems of the country, especially some problems in the northern parts of the country”.

“You have done well for this country. I know because of your commitment to the development of the country, you faced some challenges but today you have overcome them. If you are faithful to God, you will always overcome”.

In a sermon titled ‘The Best Is Yet Come’, Apostle Mike Akindapo, who took his text from John 2:9-10, assured all Nigerians of better things to come, saying that expectations of Nigerians for good things will turn to manifestation.

He noted that God is interested in the celebration of Christians, and urged all to always celebrate the goodness of God at all times. According to him; “The greatest celebration we can have is when we are still alive”. Highlight of the occasion was the cutting of the birthday cake as well as the musical presentation.
