World Accounting Day: Delta AG/PS, Enwa Calls For Greater Service Delivery

Delta State Accountant-General/Permanent Secretary (AG/PS), Mrs. Joy Enwa has urged members of the Accountants Forum to brace up for enhanced service delivery in the state civil service as they came together to mark the 2024 International Accounting Day in Asaba, yesterday.

Enwa who was in great spirits led the public sensitization on the accounting profession which took members of the Accountants Forum, Delta State on a walk from the workers secretariat to the Interbau roundabout and back, followed by an address to the accountants by the PS/AG where she admonished them to be committed to their jobs at all times and to always support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s adminiatration to achieve the MORE Agenda in its entirety.

In an interview she granted The Pointer after the road walk organized by the Accountants Forum, yesterday, November 11, 2024, the state’s AG/PS, Mrs. Joy Enwa, said there is every reason for accountants the world over to celebrate, being a noble profession in which integrity and honesty is most required.

Chairman of the Delta State Accountants Forum, Mr. Charles Isiayei FCNA, in his address said the success of the road walk demonstrates that accountants are the most active persons and the most fit in the Delta State Civil Service.

The Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.) of the Accountants Forum, Mr. Omovo Charles Bonaventure, a Chartered National Accountant (CNA), said the reason for the annual celebration is to create awareness on the role of accountants, what they do in the society and how they can be of support to individuals.

During the celebration, members of the Accountants Forum were seen carrying different sensitization messages and connecting with members of the public.
