Onyeme To PDP Members: It Is Our Duty To Work For All Deltans

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme has charged members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) not to relent in their efforts to work for all Deltans.

The deputy governor made the call, yesterday, at Ibabu, Onicha-Ukwuani, during an enlarged meeting of elected and appointed political office holders on the platform of the PDP from Ndokwa West Local Government Area.

He emphasized that in line with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration, members of the party should continue to do more for Deltans without any form of discrimination.

Onyeme said, “Our dear members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), I sincerely thank you for your efforts towards the growth of our party. Continue to strive and do more for all Deltans without discrimination because that is the nature of the job; it is a collective responsibility for us to work for our party and all Deltans. “It is also very important for us to reach out to all our people in different areas no matter where they are. We should continue to show love for our party and all Deltans in line with the MORE Agenda of the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori by doing more for our people who are not in the PDP. Don’t be discouraged because, with time, the few persons who are in other political parties will see reasons to join us,”

Earlier, the Managing Director of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Festus Ochonogor, had said that members of the party had resolved to engage in actions that would strengthen the PDP, especially in Ndokwa West Local Government Area.

Some of those who attended the meeting were the member representing Ndokwa West Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Charles Emetulu; the Chairman, Ndokwa West Local Government Council, Chief Obi Nzete; the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Christopher Osakwe; immediate past Chairman of PDP in the area, Ogbuefi Lucky Okuji; Senior Special Assistant, Media to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Comrade Fidelis Egugbo, among others.
