THE Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, Hon. Augustine Ogedegbe has inaugurated the newly constructed headmaster’s office in Okurekpo Primary School in Ethiope East. The building was donated by the children of the late Chief Ugege Idise, In memory of their father’s 50th memorial anniversary.
Speaking during the inauguration of the newly constructed Headmaster’s Office at Okurekpo Primary School, Ogedegbe commended the children of late Chief Ugege Idise for their generous contribution to the development of Education in the area. He expressed confidence in the steady development of the Local Government Area, affirming that Ethiope East is progressing in the right direction and this gesture of goodwill stands as a testament to their commitment to community development and education.
“This initiative demonstrates how individual contributions can complement the government’s efforts to bring about positive change. As a government, we cannot do it all alone. The active involvement of well-meaning individuals and families is key to sustainable growth in our communities,” he said. The new office will enhance administrative efficiency at the school, serving as a cornerstone for educational improvement. Hon. Ogedegbe emphasized that the Idise family’s gesture reflects the kind of partnership needed to foster infrastructural and social advancement.
He called on more individuals and groups to emulate the Idise family’s noble example.
The ceremony witnessed a robust turnout, including the presence of the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Francis Ojeh Ebojoh, Hon. Okperhie Dio Efe, Chief Tega Orode, members of the Idise family and enthusiastic residents.
