THE Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, yesterday commissioned the newly built modern police officers mess by the Delta State Police Command in Asaba.
IGP Egbetokun, while addressing officers and men of the command, declared that he was excited to be in their midst, and appreciated them for the good job they are doing in the state.
He explained that the State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevweri told him, he was very satisfied with the way the men and officers of the state command are performing their duties. Adding he is very proud of the personnel of Delta State Police Command.
The Nigerian Police boss, recalled the incident that happened in the state earlier in the year, when nine officers of the command were killed by hoodlums and the response by the police in the state leading to the arrest of the hoodlums.
IGP Egbetokun also remarked that the sentry guard he observed in Asaba was one the best he has seen since his assumption of office. He commended the command personnel and encouraged them to continue with the good job they are doing and where there is need for improvement, they should not hesitate to do the needful.
