THE Director General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, Patrick Ukah, has called for continued collaboration with other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to drive further development in the Delta Capital Territory.
He made the appeal during the agency’s 2025 budget defence before the Delta State House of Assembly Committee.
Ukah, leading a delegation of agency officials, presented a comprehensive scorecard of the agency’s achievements for 2024. He highlighted the completion of 44.7 kilometres of roads, including key projects such as Ogbotobo Crescent Street, Liberty Estate’s asphalt overlay, and Otuogwu Street Asaba Phase 1.
He noted that the agency also successfully installed 61.12 kilometres of drainage to improve infrastructure across the capital.
In addition to these developments, Ukah shared that the agency is also focusing on beautification projects in Asaba. This includes marking eight car parks at strategic locations, such as the FMC roundabout, Tempo Clinic junction, and Abraka junction while employing sweepers to maintain cleanliness across the city.
Looking ahead to 2025, Ukah announced a new allocation of N9.5 billion for capital projects. He thanked the committee for their support and reiterated the agency’s commitment to contributing to Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda for the state’s growth.
In response to his presentation, a committee member representing Warri South West, Hon. Benson Eburu, commended Ukah and his team for their achievements and called for stronger cooperation between the committee and the agency to ensure continued progress.
