Horror struck the Aladja Community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State as a tenant suspected to be of Northern origin beheaded his landlord over house rent issues.
The landlord, who is a native of the Aladja Community was said to have had an issue with his tenant over house rent in the property situated along the popular College Road.
A source disclosed that the tenant allegedly beheaded his unsuspecting landlord from behind and that irate residents of the community wasted no time in executing jungle justice on the suspect as they lynched him instantly.
It was gathered that few Hausa-born residents in the community also paid for the crime of their kinsman with their lives and those lucky enough to be spared were evicted from the community by incensed natives.
Meanwhile, it was further learnt that a combined team of security agents have been drafted to the area to avoid escalation of the crisis.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Bright Edafe confirmed the incident but added that the Hausa-born tenant was suspected to be under the influence of drugs.
