THE Chairman of Sapele Local Government, Chief Bright Abeke has promised to support the newly appointed Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Sapele Main Station, CSP Olasunkanmi Musuliu Alade, as he assumes office.
Chief Bright Afure made this commitment during a courtesy visit by the DPO and his team to the Sapele Local Government Secretariat. The Chairman, speaking at the meeting attended by prominent council officials and police officers, assured the new DPO of full cooperation, emphasizing the shared responsibility of maintaining peace and security in the area.
According to him, “You have very big shoes to fill, but we are confident in your capacity to deliver. We will give you all the necessary support to ensure the safety of our people. Whenever you need us, don’t hesitate to call on us. We will also call on you when the need arises.” The DPO in his remark expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and stressed the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable security.
“I am here to seek your cooperation and prayers. The security architecture I’ve seen on the ground here is impressive. I have worked in Lagos and other areas, but what I see here is different,” CSP Olasunkanmi said.
“If we work together as a team, I am confident we will succeed. Security is a top priority for the governor, and we must continue to follow his vision of making Delta State safe for everyone.” The DPO also commended his predecessor for laying a strong foundation of security in the area and promised to build on the successes achieved so far.
“My predecessor did a wonderful job, and I am here to continue where he stopped. With the cooperation of the council and the people of Sapele, we will make this town safer,” he added.
