DELTA State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has made good on his promise to transform Warri City, with the installation of solar-powered streetlights bringing a remarkable facelift to the area.
The project executed through the Ministry of Urban-Renewal has been part of the governor’s commitment to building a state that works for all, generating excitement among residents. Since assuming office on May 29, 2023, Governor Oborevwori has prioritized innovative programs and policies aimed at promoting socio-economic development, improving healthcare delivery, and empowering youths and women.
His vision for a mini-Dubai-like environmental outlook has led to the implementation of several mega-projects, including the provision of solar light in every corner of the state. Warri, a major hub of the petroleum industry in Nigeria and the heart of Delta State, has undergone significant restructuring under the Oborevwori administration.
The impact of the solar streetlight project is already being felt in areas such as Airport Road, Swamp Road, GRA, Esisi Road, NPA By-Pass, and Warri Sapele Road, among others.
The Oborevwori administration has demonstrated resilience in delivering on its promises, with the solar streetlight project. It is expected that it will improve security and economic activities in communities across Delta State.
