Ezechie Pledges To Uphold Alor Title In Okpanam

A community leader in Ogbeowelle quarters of Ok­panam, in Oshimili North Local Government Area, Ogbueshi Stephen Ezechie has taken the Alor title with a pledge to uphold its principles and contribute his quota towards the development of Okpanam.

Ogbueshi Ezechie stated this in his country home, Ogbeowelle quarters, Okpanam, while speaking with Journalists shortly after taking the Alor title.

He said that he would remain truthful and abstain from things that were inimical to the growth and development of his community, adding that he would put the interest of the community first at all times.

Ogbueshi Ezechie, who promised not to use his new position in the community to intimate anyone but would strive to strengthen the existing peace and unity in the community, revealed that he took the title not only be­cause his family needed an Ogbueshi but to be able to leverage the platform to advance more development in the community.

While saying that it was a thing of joy to accomplish the dream of becoming an Alor title holder in the community, Ogbueshi Ezechie thanked the forum of Ogbueshis and the good people of Okpanam for finding him worthy to take the title.

In an interview with newsmen, the first son of the cel­ebrant, Mr. Okonkwo Ezechie, the chairman of Ogbeowelle youths , Comr. Maxwell Ezechie who is a nephew to the celebrant and Mr. Dada Okolie, also a relation of the new Ogbueshi explained that Ogbueshi Ezechie would be a great asset to the forum of Ogbueshis.

They stated that Ogbueshi Stephen Ezechie had been in the forefront of the development of the community even before becoming an Ogbueshi and admonished him to sustain his legacies, especially his honesty and truthful­ness in decision making.

Okonkwo Ezechie specifically described his father as accommodating, unassuming, humble personality and a consummate disciplinarian, stressing that his father was a bridge builder in Ezechie’s family had become the first in his family to take Alor title.

On his part, a Director in the Delta State Ministry of Information, Mr. Patrick Emeka Ezechie, who is a younger brother to the celebrant, said that the title his elder brother had taken was well-deserved, just as he said that he was overwhelmed that his elder brother had joined foremost decision making body in Okpanam.
