THE coronation of the 14th Asagba of Asaba, HRM Obi (Prof.) Epiphany Azinge will commence from January 1-5, 2025 in Asaba, Delta State.
The event will feature cultural carnival, Kings Cup final (inter quarters football match), a musical carnival and side attractions.
The coronation and homage is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025 and will witness the fund raising for the Asagba’s Permanent Palace building. It will be concluded with a thanksgiving mass at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, West End, Asaba on Sunday, January 5, 2025, followed by a reception at the Dome Events Centre, Okpanam road, Asaba.
It is expected that the ebos, obis, olinzeles of Ahaba, socio-cultural groups – such as FALCON, ASDEV, AHABA ‘88, Asaba Ladies League, Ahaba Ujom Summit, etc, tribal and cultural groups- the Arewa, Yoruba, Igbo, Anioma, Tiv, Igala, etc, In-laws, corporate organizations and institutions, churches, friends and well wishers, selected families, people on an individual basis, with their friends and families would pay homage to His Royal Majesty.
