The Delta State Government, through the Ministry of Transport, have perfected plans to revalidate and profile all commercial motorcycles (Okada) and rickshaws (Keke) in the New Year.
A statement from the Commissioner for Transport, Mr Onoriode Agofure indicates that from January 2, 2025, the revalidation and profiling of all riders through the purchase of emblems, aprons, stickers and the issuance of Riders Identification Cards would commence.
The statement further added that operators are to patronize the nearest branch/unit of the State Government-recognized Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association (COMTOA) for a seamless exercise.
Accordingly, all operators are advised to key into the revalidation/profiling process for the government to have an updated database and relevant information about operators across the state.
