JOHN Mahama has been sworn in as the 14th President of Ghana at the Black Star Square in Accra.
Mahama, who served as the 12th president of Ghana between 2011 and 2017, was reelected on December 17, 2024.
He succeeds Nana Akuffo-Addo (2017-2025).
His swearing ceremony, yesterday, attracted a wide range of international dignitaries, 21 Heads of State including Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, diplomats, and representatives from various global organisations.
The Vice President-elect, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku- Agyemang also took the oath of allegiance and the oath of Vice President, making her the first female Vice President in the country.
