The newly appointed Executive Director of Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu has assured youths of the various ethnic nationalities of objective partnering in the discharge of his new assignments.
Dr Okorodudu gave the assurance when he played host to the leaders of Urhobo National Youth Congress (UNYC) at the commission’s head office in Warri, Delta State.
Addressing the Urhobo socio-cultural youth body, Chief Okorodudu reiterated his patriotism as an Urhoboman, while expressing his commitment to standing by promoters of Urhobo related issues as an individual.
He added that he would not shy away from whatever could enhance the promotion of the Urhobo values, amidst servicing the state as a whole in his corporate engagement.
According to him, he assumed office in the capacity he holds in order to diligently uphold and carry out the work of his boss, the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the actualization of the M.O.R.E. Agenda vision.
Elated by the creme of people who paid the congratulatory visit, Chief Ebenezer expressed a high sense of fulfillment, stressing that the visit was a reassurance of true love for him by his people.
Speaking further, the Executive Director tasked the UNYC to remain focused in their drive towards advancing developmental, constructive and objective ideals that could promote the interventionist agency, hinting that the board welcomes new and innovative ideas that can deepen service delivery to the mandate areas.
Earlier in his speech, Comr Moses Obayendo, the National President of the group, expressed gratitude to the Governor, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing Chief Ebenezer as a replacement occasioned by the demise of the former Executive Director.
The Urhobo National Youth Congress (UNYC) national body, comprising leadership and BOT Members, expressed confidence in the capacity of Dr Ebenezer.
The group’s word “your appointment into this exalted position as the director of projects is a confirmation of the trust and confidence the Delta State Government has reposed in your person.
‘You have held many positions before now and record has it that you have not performed below expectations. It is on this assurance that we stand to pledge our unalloyed loyalty and support for you in the wake of this new appointment knowing full well that you will also satisfactorily deliver the numerous task you have been saddled with.”
Among those present at the congratulatory visit were: EVANG Comr Nicholas Evwirnure, BOT Chairman; Blessing Walker, Vice President; CP Frank, Sec General.
