The rainfall in Asaba, only drizzled for a while, leaving spots of dust that were not fully washed from many houses.
Minutes into the rainfall in Okpanam, the weather became cloudy in Asaba, instigating cold temperature within the environment
Many residents welcomed the precipitation, viewing it as a positive omen for the year ahead.
To some it was a sign to consolidate the harmattan season, as they considered the early rain as a blessing that signifies prosperity and good fortune for the community.
The rain provided the much-needed relief from the dry season’s heat, cooling the temperatures and refreshing the environment.
