A member of a local vigilante group in Ughelli North Local Government Area, simply identified by his alias ‘Timaya’ has been sent to prison for allegedly defiling his two stepdaughters, while his wife was on a business trip.
It was learnt that Timaya, a native of the Ekiugbo community residing in Ofuoma has been sleeping with the two sisters between the age of 11 and 13 whenever their mother is unavailable.
According to a security source, “Trouble broke out when the eldest of the two sisters reported the incident to their uncle which led to the arrest of the suspect.
“One of the girls who has not been pleased with what their stepfather is doing to them used the opportunity of her mother’s absence to report to their uncle who came visiting.”
Another source from the community, who spoke in confidence, accused the mother of the girls of knowing about what had been happening to her children.
The source alleged that the mother of the girls was the real culprit because she admitted being aware of the ugly trend between the husband and the children before that very day’s saga.
“She is aware the man has been molesting and sexually abusing the children for a long and she has been paid for it severally, hence she keeping quiet. It was because she wasn’t around, hence the uncle got wind of the whole thing when the children called him to report the guy.
“This is not the first time Timaya has been caught. He impregnated his biological daughter and out of shame, he aborted the pregnancy. He should rot in prison, he is not fit to be a father.’’
