The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Ekpan Division in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, CSP Aliyu Shaba has been commended for his exceptional services in ensuring the safety of lives and property in the area.
The commendation came from the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Community Development, Dr. Patrick Ighomrore, during the presentation of the Iconic Security and Leadership Award to the police officer in his office.
During the award presentation, Ighomrore praised the DPO for his commitment to community safety, describing his efforts as being in line with the M.O.R.E. Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
He noted that Shaba’s leadership has significantly contributed to strengthening security at the grassroots level, ensuring that residents live without fear of criminal activities.
The governor’s aide further highlighted that since assuming office, CSP Shaba has spearheaded security initiatives that have enhanced safety and overall community development in Ekpan and its environs.
He commended the officer’s proactive approach to crime prevention and urged him to sustain the momentum in delivering effective policing to the people.
“Since your assumption of duty, sanity has returned to Ekpan. Residents now move freely without fear, and this is a testament to your dedication. We call on you to maintain this high level of performance,” Ighomrore stated.
“It is in recognition of these laudable achievements that you have been chosen for this award. We are proud of your great work and pray for more strength and inspiration for you to do even more.”
In his response, CSP Shaba expressed gratitude to the governor’s aide for the recognition, describing it as a motivation to continue his efforts.
He assured the people of Ekpan that with the cooperation of his officers, the police division would remain resolute in ridding the area of criminal elements and ensuring the safety of all residents.
The award presentation was witnessed by close associates of Dr. Ighomrore, including Dr. Ighoro Alexander and Mr. Emmanuel Enebeli, who lauded the police officer’s commitment to upholding security in the area.
