THE founder of Messiah City Foundation, Prophet Stanley Utomi, has said that there would be no beggars in the streets if all well-to-do individuals in the society put them in their budgets and take care of them.
Utomi made the remarks when he presented food items worth hundred thousands of naira to women in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
Prophet Utomi said he decided to establish the foundation to enable him reach out to the needy.
While saying that Government alone cannot address the problems of the less privileged, he called on general overseers of churches, Bishops, Reverends, pastors and all well to do in the country to carry the less privileged along in their budgets.
He said his dreams and prayers from childhood were that God should bless him and give him financial strength that would enable him to become a solution to others, adding that it gives him joy when people around him are equally joyful.
Recall that Messiah City Foundation was established seven months ago and just a few months of its existence, it has brought succour to many in Delta State and beyond.
He said people should not wait till when they become millionaires before they can assist those in need, saying that they should start from somewhere.
Prophet Utomi, through his foundation “Help the Needy” project has touched many lives, including building a toilet of four chalets for pupils of Ebiteh Primary School, Isah-Ogwashi, Aniocha South Local Government Area, an on-going shop construction project for a widow at Azagba -Ogwashi-Uku, presented POS machines and cash of two hundred thousand naira each to twenty eight people in Delta State, registration of eight people for fashion design training, payment of school fees for some indigent students of tertiary institutions, secondary school students and pupils in various primary schools in the state.
